“Kendriya Vidyalaya Nasirabad was started by KVS    New Delhi on 20 September 1971 under I/C Principal J K Sharma and Chairman Col Shivji Singh, Commandant ,Grenadiers Regimental Center in 21 B I lines. In 1983-84 VI TO X classes moved to the present building consequent to move of the grenadiers Center to Jabalpur in 1974-75. It was decided to convert the entire building into full fledge KV. Accordingly additional extensions were sanctioned and remaining classes also moved to the present complex. To revive the memory of the association of this KV with the grenadiers regt, the two stones bearing the history of the school building  was donated by Lt Gen Riskahlon, PVSM, UYSM,AVSM,Col of the Grenadiers during his visit to Nasirabad Cantt on 28 July 1996. ”

 “ The building of KV Nasirabad has the distinction of being constructed as the grenadiers memorial hostel with the contributions of all ranks in memory of world war II heroes. its foundation stone was laid on 10 Dec. 1958 by Lt Gen. S D VERMA, Col of the grenadiers,. construction of the building was commenced on 16 Sept 1959 and  was completed on 21 nov 1960. The opening ceremony was performed by Lt Gen S D Verma, Col of the grenadiers on ” Egypt Day” , 10 Dec. 1960.the grenadiers were the first regiment to implement the concept of a memorial hostel.“

• The school building is constructed on a piece of land provided by Indian army on lease .
• The school was started in a temporary building provided by the army in Nasirabad Cantt .
• In 1983-84 , class XI was introduced and the first batch of class XII students appeared during 1985-86.
• At present KVN has all the three streams ( Science, Arts , & Commerce ) in 40 sections ( class I & II- 04 sections , class III to X –3 sections, class  XI & XII-4 sections ….02 in commerce while one in science & arts each ).second section of commerce at +2 level was started  during 2008-09 .
• In the coming time, KVN will have four sections in all classes. And to adjust the children of more than 50 units of four brigades in Nasirabad Cantt ,this KV will have five sections in all classes .

§         The school was founded on 20-09-1971 under the Chairmanship of Col Shivaji Singh and Sh J K Sharma as I/C Principal at 21 B I Lines Nasirabad Cantt.

§         During 1983-84, classes VI to X were shifted from the old school campus located at 21 B.I.Lines to the present campus which was grenadiers’ hostel.(Three section school) .

§         During 1986-87 two sections of class XI ( science and arts )  were introduced .

§         On 26-02-93, foundation stone of building for primary wing was laid down by Late Sh Govind Singh Gurjar, MLA.

§         During 1993-95 , the construction of primary wing building was got done by Mr R K Jain assistant commissioner  KVS (Jaipur region ) and Mr R S Verma principal   through Mes     ( Builder : M/s Garg constructions , Kota ). Mr A K Rambani was GE, MES .

§         The new primary wing building was inaugurated by Brig Sudhir Chopra , station commander on 07-07-1995.( 34 sections ).

§         During 2003-04, one section of XI commerce was introduced.

§         During 2007-08 , total no of sections was 36 from class I to XII.

§         During 2008-09,one fourth section in I , and second section in class XI commerce was sanctioned by KVS ( total no of sections : 38 ).

§         During 2009-10 , fourth section in class II and second section in class XII commerce was subsequently added ( Total no of sections: 40 ).

§         During 2010-11,  fourth section in class III  was subsequently added ( Total no of sections: 41 ).

Earlier the school was situated in a temporary building provided by army at 21 B I Lines Nasirabad which was shifted in the new present campus during 1983-84.
